an issued  Superb inverted arrowhead   shaped  PATCH with For the WUNNUMIN LAKE POLICE who are part of the CREE nation .Red and GOld non  bullion lettering and design

I would recommend if a valuable patch , insurance, which I will obtain a quote for you- but this is optional.
in the attempt to answer questions that might arise...I will try to answer some of them in advance, but would appreciate any clarification  if I make any errors.ALL these patches  I am classing as ISSUED...some are almost in MINT condition but will still  NOT list as MINT ( which I class as UNissued)...if anyone wishes backshots or closeups I can try depending on my working away....but I think any serious collector will be more than happy with their win.Most of these designs- apart from their backing can probably be dated from their design ( basic  shape & wording) unlike the modern full colour designs that we know today and or at least the last decade or two.I  have NOT listed as '1940's  incase 1939 or 1950  as  mentioned prior that I am NOT an expert.
I understand the patches were
A)originally 'soft' material
B)soft with  brown paperbacking
C)then came the white cross threaded backing like 'cheesecloth'
D)then  cheesecloth ,an early rubberised(?) backing now usually brittle or amber coloured
E)currently we have the plastic backed  versions.
I hope this 'timeline' is correct - also I  believe that the  upper titles on this list would have been around WWII (1940's or EARLIER)
I know these can vary from State to State  and patch to patch ...but  I have NO intention to decieve anyone onthese...they are ALL original and ALL came from a senior Police Officers collection amassed in the  50's/60's or ealier.
I apologise if any listed in 'wrong State'  as I  have not managed to identify all or possibly mis-identified. PLEASE check  all  of my patches as there might be the one that you have saught for many many moons !
Some have been mounted on cards or books and still have traces of glue/gum or cardboard...I have not attempted to remove any of this. When & wjere possible I will  clarify the backing as    one of the categories above.
