    Photocopied Draft script of Dan Totheroh's play, "Rough an' Ready: A Mountain Play of the Day's of '49," here as "Rough an' Ready." An owner name in holograph ink on the first page, however illegible. Photocopied annotations throughout. Possibly used in production, but not a vintage item, useful for content information only.
    Totheroh's play opened in the early 1920s at the Sidney B. Cushing Amphitheather on Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California, where productions were organized by The Mountain Play Association. The play was set in California during the Gold Rush of the 1840s. The play was revived several times, from the 1940s to the 1970s.
    Several copies are held at the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley, with the Dan Totheroh papers (1925-1975).
