    Description

Accent On Youth and White Man
Twp plays by Samson Raphaelson (write of The Jazz Singer)
    Published 1935 by Samuel French
A truly unique piece of theater history, this appears to be the personal playbook of Paul Gilmore (founder of the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York) and his daughter Virginia. It contains personal notes on the reading of the plays, Signatures, home address in Seagate (I believe they lived in the "Sugar Cube" house?), and promise of a reward if returned to the Cherry Lane Theatre.
There are other names written as well, possibly other actors who were in the play. There is also a piece of ephemera found in the book, a clipping from a 1918 newspaper possibly used as a bookmark.
